What game genre did you really enjoy playing while growing up?

ok i shared with you some of the games i really enjoyed playing the past years.more will follow but i was wondering..what game genre did you enjoy playing the most?i myself was and am an rpg fan.i enjoy a good scenario better than anything.you know games that you do not only develop your abilities but you also make choices for your characters.choosing good or evil.
so what is your favorite game genre?

  2. Sandbox games such as Minecraft. I love absolute freedom. (MMO)RPG's share a close second place.

  4. RPG games were definitley my favorite, Baldurs gate, and diablo. I was more into consoles tho in my younger years.

    Everquest (a great mmorpg, but quite old now).

  10. I grew up playing side scrollers. Many hours were spent on Mario and Donkey Kong, although the occasional Zelda game would work it's way in. Oh, and fighters like Street Fighter or Killer Instinct and you cant forget Mortal Kombat!

  12. I personally enjoy action adventure type games like zelda ocarina of time. Sandbox and open world games add feel to the environment which is kinda cool.
